The owners of Southie newcomer Spa Christine & Boutique More (699 East Broadway, South Boston, 617.269.0019) are no strangers to the Boston beauty scene; veteran hair stylist Larry Baron has been in the business for more than three decades. His latest venture, with partner Bryan Szela, is a tribute to their late friend Christine LeBlanc, who lost her battle with breast cancer in 2005.

“Christine believed in the beauty of people, life, and love,” notes the spa’s Web site. “Our day spa is honoring her memory and the memory of those who have fought breast cancer.”

The ultra-chic salon and spa, which also serves as a modern beauty boutique, exudes old-Hollywood glamour and is packed with sought-after lines like Sexy Hair Concepts, June Jacobs, and Pevonia Botanica.
